Charlemagne is a citizen of Cameroon where he studied from elementary to university level. He holds undergraduate and Master's degrees in Law from the University of Yaounde II. Prior to this, he studied Aeronautical Radio Telecommunications at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Training Centre Zaria in Nigeria and served in two international airports in Cameroon thereafter. Charlemagne holds the following theological degrees: M.Div and D.Min from Eastern (now Palmer) Baptist Theological Seminary Philadelphia-PA and Th.D in Systematic Theology from Bethany Bible College and Seminary Dothan - Alabama in the United States. He has served as Seminary President in Cameroon, Lecturer and Faculty Dean at Mount Meru University Arusha in Tanzania, Senior Lecturer at the French Faculté de Théologie Evangélique de Bangui (FATEB) in the Central African Republic, Vice Chancellor of International Leadership University Cameroon. He is currently the Executive President of the Cameroon Baptist Convention and the Board Chair of Cameroon Bible Society. Concomitantly, he is Adjunct and visiting lecturer in ten theological institutions in six African countries. Charlemagne has also served as a local church pastor, Area Pastor, national radio preacher. He is presently the national Executive President of the Cameroon Baptist Convention and Board Chair of Cameroon Bible Society.
Dr. David Limnyuy Sunday is a licensed physician by the Cameroon Medical Council and a graduate of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Buea - Cameroon. He is also an internist and graduate of the Christian Internal Medicine Specialization (CIMS) of the Baptist Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS) under the mentorship of the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Yaounde I Ngoa-Ekelle Cameroon. He is an Intensivist trained in a two-year fellowship at the Christian Medical College of Vellore - India. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Medicine in the Department of Medicine of the Loma Linda University USA. He currently serves as the Program Director of CIMS taking over from Dr. Julie STONE since the 1st of July 2024.
Dr. Dennis Palmer served as a medical missionary in Cameroon from 1979-1984 and 1988-1991, primarily at Banso Baptist Hospital. In 2004 he returned to Cameroon to serve as Field Director and Field Administrator, stationed in Bamenda. Dennis also served as the Director of the new HIV/AIDS treatment program. After four years in those positions, he moved to Mbingo Baptist Hospital where he began the Internal Medicine residency training program (CIMS). Dennis served as Clinical Supervisor of Mbingo Baptist Hospital and also as the Program Director of the Christian Internal Medicine Specialization Residency, Mbingo Baptist Hospital. Later become the Pioneer Dean of the Baptist Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS). On his retirement from this role in Mach 2022, he became a permanent BIHS Board member as Pioneer Dean of BIHS
Professor Helen Kuokuo Kimbi, is a Professor of Medical Parasitology at the University of Bamenda. In 2024 she was elected the Vice Chair of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services Board. She is the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon. She is a Visiting Professor, at Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, USA. Having earned a Ph.D. in medical parasitology from a Nigerian university and completed post-doctoral fellowships in London and New York, this senior scholar researches the epidemiology of malaria and other diseases endemic to her native Cameroon, such as HIV/AIDS and malaria-related anemia and malnutrition. She has worked at universities in Cameroon for over two decades, ultimately serving as a professor of medical parasitology and vice-dean of admission and records at the University of Bamenda. Praised for her student mentorship, the scholar has supervised nearly 75 graduate students and co-taught graduate and undergraduate courses on topics such as protozoology, epidemiology, and vector biology. The scholar has presented her research in Africa and Europe, contributed to more than 60 journal articles, and shared her knowledge within her community by offering free diagnoses and giving lessons on disease prevention and management. IIE-SRF support awarded in 2020 has enabled her to continue her work at Drexel University, where she is teaching a master's course and researching the gametocytes of malaria parasites.

Dr. Jim Brown has faithfully served as the PAACS Program Director and Chief of Surgery for many years at Mbingo Baptist Hospital. On June 30th, Dr. Brown handed the baton to Dr. Mark Snell as the new Program Director and Chief of Surgery. Dr. Snell was the Assistant Program Director since the program reopened in 2020. Dr. Sama Akanyun became the Assistant Program Director. Dr. Sama is a PAACS graduate from Mbingo and the first Cameroonian surgeon to hold this position.
Scientist Prof Judith Torimiro from #Cameroon 🇨🇲 is recognized at #WHA72 with Sasakawa Health Prize for 27 years of work in the field, the classroom, and the laboratory
Professor Judith Torimiro is currently, the Board Chair of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (CBCHS). She was elected in 2024. In this same year, she was elected a Fellow of UNESCO's The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). Professor Judith Torimiro is recognized at the World Health Assembly for 27 years of work in the field, the classroom, and the laboratory. For Professor Torimiro, her research journey started years ago in the rainforests of Cameroon where she observed how hunter-gatherers live in close proximity to animals. At the time, she was among the first Cameroonian scientists to study zoonoses diseases or infections that are transmissible from animals to humans. After years of study and postdoctoral research in clinical biochemistry and applied molecular biology in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America, she returned to her country Cameroon, to support the national health system, teach and train health workers, and research infectious diseases that pose a risk to women and children. Since her return home in the 1990s, Professor Torimiro has helped create four health research institutions in Cameroon. As Chair of the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Yaoundé I, she is a key figure in building academic capacities in molecular biology in her country and shaping Cameroon’s next generation of scientists. The research carried out by her students cuts across the use of molecular techniques to identify disease-associated genes to AIDS, hepatitis B, cancer, diabetes, fibroids, and cardiovascular diseases.
In the 1990s, for 6 years with SIM, was seconded to Addis Ababa University. As an Associate Professor of Anaesthesiology, Anaesthesiology training was commenced in Ethiopia. The next 20 years as a Staff Specialist in Hunter New England Area Health included periods as Supervisor of Training, Director of Anaesthetics, John Hunter Hospital, and then at Calvary Mater Newcastle. The Area Health Service provided an opportunity for training in Management, Safety, and Quality. During this period volunteer trips to Indonesia and the Pacific Islands were highlights. A “chance” encounter with an old friend, resulted in 4 years in Cameroon, teaching, and training Nurse Anaesthetists at Mbingo Baptist Hospital, with the help of previously trained staff. In October 2021, returned to Mbingo and took up the role of Dean, Baptist Institute of Health Sciences.
Dr. Kinne Mané Virginie is an Internist by training and a graduate of the Christian Internal Medicine SpecializationProgram of the Baptist Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS). Her Medical career began in 2003 when she graduated as a State Registered Nurse (SRS). She later moved to the University of Antananarivo Madagascar where she graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2011. She then served with the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Sciences (CBCHS) as a General Practitioner at the Banso Baptist Hospital (BBH) from November 2012 to July 2014. She received her specialization training in Internal Medicine and become an Internist in 2018. In January 2019 she was posted to Ekounou Baptist Health Centre and was later appointed as Chief Medical Officer. In January 2022 she was transferred to Mbingo Baptist Hospital and in March 2022, was appointed by the BIHS Board to replace the pioneer Registrar, Dr. Nancy Palmer. Dr. Kinne Mané Virginie is currently the registrar of the Baptist Institute of Health Sciences.

He has over 29 years of experience in Higher Education and over 24 published articles in top scientific journals.

The Director of Health Services is a trained Public Health expert with a Master in International Health from the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute. He is currently a Doctorate of Philosophy in Public Health from the University of Bamenda - Cameroon.
