Who We Are

Post-graduate medical education was started at Mbingo Baptist Hospital in July 2007 with the establishment of the General Surgery residency under the auspices of the Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons. The Internal Medicine Residency began the following year under the sponsorship of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services. The Baptist Institute of Health Sciences was established to host these post-graduate training programs. Recognition of the Institute was finalized by the Ministry of Higher Education on November 13, 2017.

To provide healthcare professionals a solid foundation in the medical sciences, clinical care, and medical research skills, in order to provide patients holistic healthcare with Christ-like compassion.
