Requirements For Graduate Admission

    Master of Public Health and Master of Public Health with a focus in Healthcare Administration. 

    Applicants for the Master of Public Health (MPH) program must fulfill the following entry requirements:

    1. A copy of a bachelor's degree in any medical-related field from an accredited university or state university in Cameroon, with a 3.0 or higher GPA, or a copy of a degree from an accredited seven-year medical school. For students from Private University Institutes under mentorship in Cameroon, only Attestation and transcripts from the Mentor University shall be accepted in the absence of a bachelor's degree. For students from outside of Cameroon, they must provide a certificate of equivalence for their bachelor's degree provided by the Ministry of Higher Education in Cameroon. 
    2. Two letters of recommendation from work supervisor and pastor or spiritual mentor
    3. Resume and Curriculum Vitae, including statement of applicant’s purpose and objectives in applying for the MPH training
    4. Copy of birth certificate
    5. Copy of Cameroon National Identity Card (or for international students, copy of passport)
    6. Proof of English language proficiency such as English proficiency from any of the English-speaking universities, where applicants would have completed their previous training or English Proficiency from the Cameroon General Certificate of Education Board or TOEFL or IELTS scores for international applicants
    7. A minimum of Three (3) years of working experience
    8. A 2-3 page research statement indicating an area of research interest (It is advised this research area is related to the student’s current work.)
    9. Receipt showing payment of the non-refundable application fee of 20,000 Fcfa paid into the BIHS account 706129-425 “tuition/fees” at any CBC hospital or large health center or via MTN Mobile Money (237676221260).

    Caution

    1. Admission will be denied or withdrawn if there is evidence of fake or altered documents.
    2. In the first semester students will enroll and pass the two required modules or courses. These required modules or courses are:
    3. “Introduction to Epidemiology” and either “Biostatistics” or in an elective of their choice. Acceptance into the MPH program will be restricted to those who pass these two modules at the master’s level.
