    Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS) Residency under the Baptist Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS) at the Mbingo Baptist Hospital (MBH) Site

    Application Deadline

    The initial application is due April 15th. A follow-up supplemental application which includes required recommendations and other information will be sent after receipt of the initial application. All materials from both the initial and supplemental application are due by May 15th. The application has multiple parts, so begin early and be aware that the full application with all accompanying documents needs to be completed and submitted to admissions@paacs.net by May 15th.

Eligibility Requirements

    Christian Internal Medicine Specialization (CIMS) under the Baptist Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS) at Mbingo Baptist Hospital (MBH)

    1. Be a Medical Doctor graduate from an approved medicine training program in Cameroon. Those who studied outside of Cameroon must provide an equivalence certificate for the Medical degree provided by the Ministry of Higher Education in Cameroon.
    2. Must be a licensed doctor by the Cameroon Medical Council and updated with their yearly dues for Cameroonian doctors. For expatriates, they must be licensed and be in good standing 
    3. Must provide a sponsoring mission hospital to sponsor them and expected to work with their sponsoring mission body after graduation.
    4. Must be ready to write and pass the National exams and competitive entrance examination into the cycle of specialization in medicine in Cameroon organized by the National Commission for Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Odonto-stomatological Training in Cameroon.

     

    Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS) Residency under the Baptist Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS) at the Mbingo Baptist Hospital (MBH) Site

    1. Be a citizen of an African country.
    2. Be a graduate of a recognized medical program and complete an internship program.
    3. Be a sincere follower of Jesus Christ as evidenced by your words, your actions, and your lifestyle.
    4. Be 35 years old or less and exceptionally fluent in English.
    5. Have a strong written recommendation from your pastor and a medical colleague who knows you well and has worked with you in a clinical setting.
    6. Agree to accept work at a hospital approved by your sponsor, one year for each year of residency training.

    N.B.:

    International students without a GCE O/L English Language result must show proof of English Language proficiency (e.g. TOEFL and IELTS).

     

Before You Apply

    1. Copy of birth certificate,
    2. Copy of Passport or Government ID or valid National Identification Card,
    3. If married present a copy of the Marriage Certificate,
    4. Copy of GCE Ordinary Level or equivalence,
    5. Copy of CGCE Advanced Level or equivalence,
    6. Copy of Medical Degree, 
    7. Copy of valid Medical License or evidence that it is current,
    8. Copy of evidence of Good Standing or copy of receipt of up-to-date payment of medical dues, 
    9. Health Certificate,
    10. Copy of transcripts from Medical School, Post Graduate and/or Masters Exam, 
    11. A 5 x 5 Colour passport photo
    12. Letter of recommendation

    Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS) Residency under the Baptist Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS) at the Mbingo Baptist Hospital (MBH) Site

    1. Copy of birth certificate,
    2. Copy of Passport or Government ID or valid National Identification Card,
    3. If married present a copy of the Marriage Certificate,
    4. Copy of Medical Degree, 
    5. Copy of valid Medical License or evidence that it is current,
    6. Completed PAACS Health Certificate,
    7. Transcripts from Medical School Post Graduate and/or Masters, 
    8. A 5 x 5 Colour passport photo,
    9. Must write and pass the written entrance examination

    These additional documents are to be presented to the Office of the Registrar of BIHS by Mbingo PAACS residents only after an applicant has been successfully selected

    1. Evidence of Good Standing or Receipt of up-to-date payment of medical dues,
    2. Copy of GCE Ordinary Level or equivalence,
    3. Copy of CGCE Advanced Level or equivalence,
    4. Certificate of equivalence issued by the Ministry of Higher Education for Cameroonians who studied outside of Cameroon. It should be noted that this is the prerequisite for the award of a Medical License.
